Environmental education
This program develops leaders in education, natural resources,
government, extension services, and non-governmental agencies.
Individuals will gain an excellent grounding in the natural and
social sciences, education, and principles of leadership. Students
in this field come from varied backgrounds including the natural
sciences, social sciences, and the humanities.
Program highlights
Electives: Students can choose
electives that complement their interests from a broad list of courses in the
natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, education, natural resources,
agriculture, and other fields.
Interdisciplinary study:
The program is offered by the University’s Center for
Environmental Education and Leadership, a collaboration between CEHD, the
College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS), and the
University of Minnesota Extension Service.
Practical experience: Learning experiences such as field work and
internships are integral parts of the program.
