Human resource development
Human resource development (HRD) is a process of developing and unleashing
human expertise through organization development and personnel
training and development. Careers in this field are
available in business, nonprofit, educational, and governmental settings.

Most of the college's human resource development degrees are also
offered at
the University's Rochester campus.
National recognition:
The program was ranked first in the nation in a University of Illinois
study, has received an Award of Excellence from the Southern Minnesota chapter
of the American Society for Training and Development, and was awarded the Excellence
and Quality Program Award from the International Academy of Human Resource
Development.
