Physical education

The college offers one of a few physical education licensure programs at the graduate level in the state, as well as one of a small number of licensure programs in developmental/adapted physical education. Students who choose to pursue dual licensure in both areas will find themselves in high demand in school districts looking for teachers qualified to handle both types of classes.

Program highlights

Practical experience: Three 10-week teaching experiences allow students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings.

Cohort model: Students begin classes together and continue through the program as a single group, building an invaluable sense of community.

Licensure: Program participants can earn a Minnesota state licensure in physical education (grades K-12) while working toward a master's degree at the same time.
