Science education

The field of science education is a diverse area of study that can lead to many different professional opportunities. The demand for science teachers at the elementary, middle school, and high school level, especially in subject areas such as chemistry and physics, is high and likely to remain so in the foreseeable future.

This also is an excellent field of study to consider if you are interested in an educational role in a museum, as a park naturalist, in a recreational setting, or in a leadership role as a curriculum specialist for a school district.
