Social justice

Grounded in the belief in equity and fairness in every aspect of human experience, this interdisciplinary program offers students the opportunity to both theorize about the meanings of social justice and to practice social justice advocacy in community organizations.

Program highlights

Coursework variety: Students can choose elective courses from across the University in a range of subject areas, including American Indian studies, educational psychology, history, and sociology.

Service learning: The program's core courses include 30 hours of required service learning in social justice organizations such as Jane Addams School for Democracy and the Aurora Center.
