Leadership in education (M.Ed.)
The master of education (M.Ed.)/professional studies program in
leadership in education develops educational leaders who can advance
effective K-12 school culture, policies, and practice.
Program highlights
Interdisciplinary study:
The program is offered jointly by the College's
Department of Educational Policy
and Administration and
Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Professional development:
Students are encouraged to begin the program with other educators
from the same school or district. In addition, the program's
relatively brief length (30 credits) means that most students finish
the degree in two to three years while continuing to teach
full-time.
Wide variety of electives: This program includes 14 elective credits. Students can choose from
courses across the University, studying school technology, women in
leadership,
cross-cultural perspectives on leadership, and much more.
