Leadership (undergraduate minor)

The leadership program for undergraduates prepares students for real-life leadership experiences, both on campus and in the larger community. Program courses across a range of disciplines provide students with the opportunity to develop core knowledge about leadership within the larger context of social action and social change.

Program highlights

Interdisciplinary study: This program is offered by the college's Department of Educational Policy and Administration in conjunction the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute and the University's Office for Student Affairs.

National recognition: The program was selected by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators as one of only 10 programs nationally and internationally to be described as "Exemplary."

Field experience: Students apply their classroom knowledge of leadership theories by serving as public achievement coach for local middle and high school students.
