Di Samek

Di Samek is a Ph.D. student in the Family Social Science department at the University of Minnesota. She received her B.A. in Psychology, and M.A. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota. Her current research interests include family communication, family closeness perceptions, adolescent adjustment, adolescent substance abuse, families with children that are not genetically related to their parents (step, adoptive, ART) as well as identity and group identity theories.
