- To develop a realistic understanding of normative college student development.
- To develop skills for talking with your college student about challenging issues.
- To develop skills for guiding your student and not ruling your student.
- To develop skills for accessing resources for yourself, your family, and your student.
- To develop skills necessary to respond to a crisis.
Course Expectations
Although no part of this course is required, it is expected that you will participate to the best of your ability, that you will learn and grow as a parent, and that you will engage in this course to best meet your needs.

Read and consider research-based information. There are discussions throughout this course. We hope that you will take the time to complete the discussions, share your experiences with other parents, and learn from the experiences of other parents.
