Patrick is a Family Social Science Ph.D. student.
For the first 13 years of his life, he lived in an agricultural region
of Ontario, Canada. Since 2002, he has lived in Maine. He received two degrees from the University of Maine, a B.A. in social
sciences in 2007, and an M.A. in human development in 2009.
His professional work experience, besides “the plethora of semi-shady
odd-jobs” that he has held while being a full-time student since 2003,
includes consistent employment in the University of Maine system as a
teaching assistant in fields not limited to developmental psychology,
philosophy, and human sexuality.
He currently has an appointment with the College of Education & Human
Development as the Family Social Science Department's Instructional
Technology Fellow. His academic interests include: 1) how an inequitable
division of housework affects personal well-being and marital satisfaction;
2) the influence of family history, parental involvement, and socioeconomic
status on offspring outcomes; 3) applying sociological, feminist, and
life-course perspectives to these types of family issues.

was to be a starting wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. I do not
currently follow any sports team."
