Alternatives to Drinking at UMTC
Late Night Programming: Coffman Union offers late-night programming, with free or inexpensive events and activities. Free films, reduced price refreshments, dance lessons, and bowling provide social opportunities in an alcohol-free atmosphere. Activities are advertised on the Student Unions & Activities events page.
Student Organizations: Several student groups are dedicated to reducing alcohol abuse on campus. Students can take part in Student Network for Abuse Prevention (SNAP), a group sponsored by Boynton Health Service to educate students on health issues regarding alcohol/drug abuse, tobacco, and overall promotion of healthy behaviors on the University of Minnesota campus.
