University of Minnesota
Driven to Discover

Welcome!

Initially formed in 1999, the Early Experience, Stress and Neurobehavioral Development Center is a multi-disciplinary collaboration of scientists from across the United States designed to increase our understanding of the impact of early life stress on human brain and behavioral development and to foster translation of our findings into preventive interventions and treatments for children who experience deprivation, neglect and relationship disruptions early in life. On this website you will find information about the faculty of the center, the research we are conducting with the support of an Interdisciplinary Developmental Science Center grant from the National Institute of Mental Health, and resources generated by our center that are available to other researchers and the public.
