Graduate program information and admissions
The
Institute of Child Development (Department of Child Psychology) offers training at the Ph.D. level for
research in normal human development. Students select one of three
tracks of study: general developmental psychology, developmental
psychopathology and clinical science (DPCS), or developmental
psychology and school psychology. In addition, students specialize in areas such as cognitive
development, language, learning, perceptual development, social and
personality development, or developmental psychobiology and neuroscience. Most graduates take positions in research or academic
settings.
