Students are the future...

While it might sound contrived, the truth is that students are the future. In the Crick Lab we take our role of providing educational opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students seriously. Many of our undergraduate students have remarked how much they learned while working in the lab. Some have gone into research based graduate programs while others have decided on a more hand-on approach to working with children in communities, schools, and families. Our former graduate students are scattered around the country engaged in research as faculty or members of research centers, conducting therapy with children, and teaching.

Information for Interested Undergraduates

If you are an undergraduate (from the U of MN or elsewhere) interested in gaining research experience related to the social development of children we invite you to contact us. Depending on the semester we have up to 40 undergraduates working on the various research projects (hyperlink to project page) in the lab. We work very hard to make sure that all of our students receive the hands-on experience that compliments the 'book learning' taking place in your classes. Participation in our lab has been a rewarding experience--professionally and personally, for dozens of students in the recent years. A high percentage of our former undergraduate research assistants have been accepted into the graduate program of their choice. Contact Peter Ralston if you are interested in working in our lab.

Information for Interested Graduate Students
