Driving Directions
Research participants should park in the CNBD Contract Parking lot, located behind the 717 Delaware St. building. A study staff member will meet you with a parking permit. All other visitors should park in the Oak Street Parking ramp. The Center for Neurobehavioral Development is located on the 3rd floor of the 717 Delaware St. SE building.

CCLRT Construction and Washington Ave Closure
Due to the construction of the Central Corridor Light Rail line,
Washington Avenue will close for good to automobile traffic between
Pleasant and Oak streets on May 16, 2011. Please see

Two road closures will significantly impact the University of Minnesota campus from Sunday, April 22 until Wednesday, May 2. Drivers should be aware of the closures and detours, and allow for extra travel time.
Huron Boulevard Ramp from westbound I-94
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced this week that the ramp from westbound I-94 to Huron Boulevard will close from Sunday, April 22 until Wednesday, May 2. Motorists who travel westbound on Interstate 94 from St. Paul and access the University of Minnesota via Huron Boulevard should expect significant delays.
Signs will be posted indicating the official project detour. People familiar with the area should explore alternate routes if possible. The official detour will direct motorists to do the following:
• Continue westbound on I-94 past the Huron Boulevard exit
• Exit at Riverside Avenue
• Go south on Riverside
• Go east I-94 east
• Exit at Huron Boulevard
The work is part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation's on-going freeway improvement project between downtowns Minneapolis and St. Paul. For more project information, visit the Minnesota Department of Transportation website.
17th Avenue between University Avenue and 4th Street
17th Avenue between University Avenue and 4th Street will close from Monday, April 23 until Thursday, April 26. The closure is necessary as crews install a tower crane for the construction of the Fourth Street Housing and Dining Facility. Oak Street is the official detour during the closure of 17th Avenue.

Drive south on I-280 to 94 W. Take the Huron Blvd exit off of 94W. Take a left at the first stoplight onto Fulton Street. Continue on Fulton Street until you come to Oak street. Take a right. Continue on Oak Street until you come to a stop light at Delaware Street. 717 Delaware St. building is located on the corner of Delaware and Oak street. Continue straight through the stop light and enter the parking lot on the left behind the building.
From the South
Drive north on I-35 W to the “U of M/3rd St.” exit. Stay in the right hand lane for the East Bank exit. This will take you across the river on the Washington Avenue Bridge. Stay to the right and follow the roundabout. Take a left onto East River Parkway. Stay to the left and the road will become Fulton St SE. Take a left at Oak Street. Continue on Oak Street until you come to a stop light at Delaware Street. 717 Delaware St. building is located on the corner of Delaware and Oak street. Continue straight through the stop light and enter the parking lot on the left behind the building.

Drive east on I-394 toward Minneapolis to I-94 East. From I-94, take the north I-35W exit. (This is a left-hand exit.) Once on 35W, take the “U of M/3rd St.” exit.
