Social and emotional development, early childhood mental health, educational theories and philosophies, special education and inclusion, dramatic play, educator support and retention.

I am an instructor in the Early Childhood Education program and a teacher in the Shirley G. Moore Laboratory School, and have been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2001. I focus on assisting young children as they develop social and emotional skills, develop self-regulation capacities, and build relationships with others. I am particularly interested in helping pre-service teachers connect with different educational theories as they develop their own teaching philosophies and approaches to teaching.
