Child Psychology Student Organization (CPSO)

CPSO provides students who are interested in developmental psychology with volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community; research mentorships with faculty at the Institute of Child Development; and social events with other students within the department. Anyone interested in developmental psychology, or the betterment of children, is welcome and encouraged to become a member.

CPSO members participating in Relay for Life

Last year’s events included:

  • A graduate student panel
  • Panel of recent alumni
  • Directed research night
  • Relay for Life
  • Volunteer events at the Ronald McDonald House and People Serving People

CPSO is run by a board of student volunteers who serve as officers for the group.

Become a member

Anyone interested in child psychology or the betterment of children is welcome and encouraged to become a member! You do not need to be a child psychology major or minor to join! Everyone is welcome!

If you would like to join the CPSO please e-mail cpso@umn.edu, and we will add you to our e-mail list right away! Once you are a part of our listserv, you will receive emails regarding various events and volunteer opportunities we will be having.
