Russian Adoption Experience Interview Study

Families with children ages 10 and up are invited to participate in an interview study to share your perspective about the experience of adoption from Russia. We hope to better understand the adoption stories of adoptees from Russia and adoptive family members in terms of how they form family ties and find connections to the U.S. and Russia following international adoption. We want to interview U.S.-Russian adoptees and parents in light of the 2013 moratorium on further adoptions between these two countries.

Each participant and parent will receive $20 for participating in the study. Time and location of the interview is flexible. For more information please contact Lisa Gulya at guly003@umn.edu.

This study is conducted by Lisa Gulya, doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota, in collaboration with the MN International Adoption Project. IRB# 1509P78122.
