Improving Lives-Phase II

Join the College of Education and Human Development to improve lives through research in childhood learning and development, family and community interactions, and the maximization of human potential.

With your support, our Improving Lives campaign has raised over $62 million for programs across the college, including $20 million for student support, $15.7 million for program support, $11.2 million for faculty support, $10 million for research, and $3.3 million for strategic initiatives.

The next phase will stretch our goal to $100 million, providing:

  • $20 million for new facilities for the nationally top-ranked Institute of Child Development. This space will inspire learning, collaboration, and new discoveries in autism, developing brains, resilient language development, and more.
  • $6 million for student support, including $4.5 million for graduate fellowships and $1.5 million for undergraduate internships.
  • $6 million for faculty support, especially new faculty positions in strategic program areas.
  • $6 million to support innovative research and collaborations.

Together, we can impact the health and well-being of people in Minnesota and around the globe.

Improve Lives, make a gift now.

We are driven by our belief in the value of every child and adult, each with unique talents and challenges. We share our knowledge for public use to impact and improve lives.
– Jean Quam, Dean

The Improving Lives campaign goal is to raise $100 million by 2021.
