The main objective of the American Cultural Center for Sport in Tianjin, China, is to bring culturally-oriented instruction, exchanges, and engagement to Chinese people.

The American Cultural Center for Sport in Tianjin provides educational programming to develop a deeper understanding of how sport culture impacts all of our interactions. This understanding is vital to sustaining a healthy and mutually respectful U.S.-China relationship.

China Champions

To foster an exchange of culture, education and sport, the University of Minnesota annually hosts a cohort of Chinese Olympic and world champion athletes and coaches as part of the China Champions Program (CCP). Led by the U’s School of Kinesiology, in collaboration with Beijing Sport University and supported by the China Scholarship Council, CCP is a unique, global collaboration that provides mutual benefits for Chinese athletes and University faculty, staff and students.
