The School of Kinesiology focuses on the biological, developmental, social, and behavioral bases of physical activity, recreation, sport and human performance through its programs in kinesiology, sport management, and recreation, park and leisure studies. Advancing the traditions of innovative basic and applied scholarship allows us to attract and retain the best young faculty and graduate students in the field, broadening the scope of our research and enriching both undergraduate and graduate education. The programs in the School prepare students for a variety of professional opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Graduates of our programs may anticipate career paths in teaching, community service, allied health, industry and business.

Kinesiology & Leisure Studies Scholarship 
To provide scholarships to students in the School of Kinesiology.
Jason David Schleien Memorial Endowment 
To award scholarships to meritorious students majoring in Recreation, Park, and Leisure Studies or related areas with an interest in serving individuals with disabilities; and, to support other activities deemed appropriate by the fund administrator and the Schleien family that further the study and practice of inclusive community recreation.
Dorothy McNeill Tucker Fellowship Fund 
Funding for graduate students working with the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sports.
Frances Kidd Endowed Scholarship for Physical Education Students 
To provide scholarships to students who are working to obtain teacher licensure in Physical Education.
Eloise M. Jaeger Scholarship at the Tucker Center 
To provide scholarships within the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.
Edith Mueller Park & Recreation Memorial Award 
The Edith Mueller Park and Recreation Memorial Award seeks to reward participation and enthusiasm of undergraduate students pursuing a program in Recreation, Park, and Leisure Studies, and to encourage students to further their involvement and deepen their commitment to this discipline. The award may be used to cover the costs of tuition, attendance at appropriate conferences, applicable research, and outreach activities. The award also provides funding for special lectures related to programs in recreation, park, and leisure studies.
Borghild Strand Endowment for Young Women 
Fund will support the scholarship, research and ideas of the College through its faculty and students in areas of school and after-school programs which advance sport, physical fitness, and recreation for girls and young women.
Jean Morris Helms Scholarship Fund 
This scholarship is for new undergraduate students enrolling in the College of Education and Human Development who show academic promise. Preference will be shown for students with an interest in physical education and kinesiology.
Allen W. Burton Memorial Fund 
Allen W. Burton was a professor in the School of Kinesiology who died on September 6, 2001, at 47 years of age. Dr. Burton specialized in motor development & adapted physical education. The fund is set up to remember Allen Burton and to support students in the School of Kinesiology. Funds can be used for scholarships, research expenses, travel reimbursements for professional conferences, and other such activities that support and promote student scholarship.
Tucker Center Operation Fund 
Will be used for general operational needs of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.
Dr. Maureen Weiss Gifts 
For general research activities of Dr. Maureen Weiss to be used at the discretion of Dr. Weiss to her accomplish research goals and objectives.
Women's Physical Education Alumnae Association Scholarship 
Will provide undergraduate scholarships to students majoring in women's physical education (Physical Education Initial Licensure Program).
J Anna Norris Scholarship Fund 
Principal and income used for loans or scholarship for needy and promising women in professional preparation in physical education (Physical Education Initial Licensure Program).
Edith Mueller Endowed Fund for Graduate Education in the Tucker Center 
The income from the fund will be used to support graduate education, including but not limited to graduate assistantships, research support, travel to conferences, and equipment.
Tucker Center Research Fund for Gender Equity in Sport 
The fund provides a flexible source of funding for critically-needed research in areas that address gender equity in sport and physical activity conducted through the auspices of the Tucker Center.
Tucker Center Graduate Fellowship for Gender Equity in Sport 
The Tucker Center Graduate Fellowship for Gender Equity in Sport provides funding for graduate fellowships in the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.
Media Coverage of Female Athletes 
This fund provides a flexible source of financial support for Tucker Center research, educational activities and community outreach in areas/issues that examine media coverage of female athletes. Funding may be used for a broad range of needs and purposes including, but not limited to, research and outreach program expenses, equipment, travel to conferences, lectures, symposium, and other such activities that support and promote this line of scholarship. Decisions on fund expenditures are made by the Tucker Center director in consultation with the associate director.
Women and Sport Leadership 
This fund provides a flexible source of financial support for Tucker Center research, and educational activities and community outreach in areas/issues that examine women and sport leadership. Funding may be used for a broad range of needs and purposes including, but not limited to, research and outreach program expenses, equipment, travel to conferences, lectures, symposia, and other such activities that support and promote this line of scholarship. Decisions on fund expenditures are made by the Tucker Center director in consultation with the associate director.
