Margaret Martin

Margaret Martin

A native of Vermont, Margaret Martin received her BA from Colgate University in 2005 with a major in Psychology. She then spent several years jumping between Vermont, Utah, Chicago, and Spain teaching everything under the sun to students ranging from 8 months to 28 years.

She is now at the University of Minnesota pursuing a PhD in School Psychology where she hopes to use her wide experience base to inform her research and practice.

Her academic interests include early literacy acquisition and assessment, particularly as they relate to bilingualism (Spanish-English). Her non-academic interests include all four seasons, lakes, and living out of a backpack in places both foreign and familiar.
