WHRE Ed.D.: Comprehensive Work and Human Resource Education (WHRE) Specialization
Overview
The doctor of education (Ed.D.) degree in work and human resource education with a specialization in comprehensive work and human resource education (WHRE) is administered by the Graduate School and offered by the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD).
The comprehensive work and human resource education specialization is an individualized program that is used by students whose professional roles are enhanced by completion of coursework selected from adult education; agricultural, food, and environmental education; business and industry education; and human resource development. This field of study attracts teachers, coordinators, supervisors, trainers, youth workers, community-based educators, extension educators, and others.
Students combine study and related experiences to develop, apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the practices and problems of education within these contexts; to asses the social, technological, cultural, and psychological issues of this field; and to contribute to the research in the field. The degree work is designed by the student and his or her adviser.
