University of Minnesota Partnership with The MasterCard Foundation Learn, Earn, and Save Initiative
Three non-governmental organization (NGO) partners (Swisscontact, Fundación Paraguaya, CAP Foundation) are implementing programs focused on entrepreneurship, life skills, financial literacy, employment, and savings to improve youth’s opportunities.
CAP Foundation’s innovative initiative to demonstrate end-to-end solutions to link learning and livelihood is offered through a continuum of Academic, Vocational and Occupational programs for in-school, out-of-school and post-school youth. CAP specializes in working with the most deprived, vulnerable and difficult to reach sections of young and women at risk in poor urban, peri-urban, rural, tribal communities and has a very strong gender perspective through community based programs spread across India and with partners across Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Africa. CAP Workforce Development Institute is the technical resource and CAP-YEI, Kenya the local implementing partner.
