Profile
Roy is currently a teaching specialist working in the Business and Marketing Education program and the Sports Management program. He comes to the University of Minnesota after 30 years in the private sector. Eleven of those years as the president of Sportsmark, Inc. and ten years as president of Prestwick Golf Development, Inc.
In his two years at the University, Roy has developed five new courses for the BME program and created Students Impacting Communities, Inc. – a 501C3 charity that works in conjunction with the Practicum on Non Profit Organizations class. His work in the classroom emphasizes bringing practical knowledge and experience into teaching. In 2009, Roy authored the book An American Guide to Golf in Ireland and Scotland.
