Curriculum

The human resource development undergraduate certificate requires a minimum of 14 credits. Certificate coursework completed with undergraduate student status cannot be applied to graduate-level degree programs.

Admission

Admission is open to degree-seeking or non-degree seeking students who meet the following criteria:

Nonnative Speakers of English

A score of 79 or better on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for admission to the minor/certificate.

TOEFL Exemption Policy

Please send an official report of TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB scores to the Office of Admissions directly from the testing agency (from one set of exam results). The UMN TOEFL institutional code is 6874.

How to Apply

All applicants must submit a completed online application form.

Program Completion

Successful completion of the certificate will be noted on the student's official University of Minnesota transcript and an official certificate will be issued. You should apply for certificate completion at the same time you apply for your bachelor's degree.
