Outreach & Engagement
Outreach in the College of Education and Human Development is a core component of our mission and values. Through our partnerships, we bring groundbreaking research into the daily lives of educators, families, and communities around Minnesota and across the globe. Below is a small sampling of our outreach efforts:
Ongoing research and outreach initiatives in over 40 countries, extensive learning abroad experiences at the undergraduate and graduate level, and partnerships with institutions and visiting scholars.
Collaborating with organizations ranging from international Fortune 500 companies to government agencies to school districts, the Office of Professional Development creates unique, customized programs that pair college expertise with organizational interests and goals.
As part of the Teacher Education Redesign Initiative (TERI), CEHD has developed online training modules for our cooperating teacher partners to be effective mentors to teacher candidates through co-teaching practices.
Located in North Minneapolis, UROC links the University of Minnesota in vital public partnership with urban communities to advance learning, improve quality of life, and discover breakthrough solutions to critical problems.
Numerous CEHD faculty and staff partner with University Extension, providing practical education and research to help people, businesses, and communities across the state of Minnesota.
