What motivates me in my work?
Classrooms are, in ideal moments, high-energy zones. People may be whispering, laughing, debating loudly, or they may even be silent, but brains tackling ideas in new and complex ways generate energy.  Those moments make me love teaching.

What can students expect from me?
I bring ideas and expertise to my classes, but I also invite students to connect their own ideas and experiences to course readings and projects.  You can expect me to guide and support you through feedback, individual conferences, and small-group discussions that build connections among students. You can expect me to be flexible and interested in your individual needs.
