College of Education and Human Development

Giving to PsTL

PsTL Faculty & Staff Legacy Scholarship Fund

Hundreds of dedicated faculty and staff have been a part of General College during its 74 years, 1932 to 2006. To honor their commitment, a scholarship fund was created. The General College Faculty & Staff Legacy Scholarship Fund, an endowment that will support new students with financial need enrolling in the College of Education & Human Development (CEHD). Preference will be given to students in Postsecondary Teaching and Learning.

We wanted to raise gifts of $25,000. We exceeded this goal and as of July 2006 raised $45,000.

If you wish to honor individual General College faculty or staff members, the honor(ee) will receive a letter informing them that you have chosen to pay tribute to them through a gift to the fund (unless you wish to be anonymous). No amounts will be shared in the letter. If you choose to make a contribution in memory of someone, their family or estate will receive a letter.

Gifts large and small are welcomed and appreciated. You may make a pledge to be paid over a period of time. Payroll deduction is available for University of Minnesota employee.

If you have questions or want to make a donation, please contact the CEHD Development Office, 612-625-1310 or sbeyer@umn.edu.

David V. Taylor Scholarship Fund

In honor of Dean Taylor, the General College established the David V. Taylor Scholarship Fund as an endowment to assist low-income students.

For 16 years, Dean Taylor led General College by example, with compassion and genuine interest in the well-being of the students, faculty, staff, and community. He was instrumental in facing the many challenges that General College confronted over the years to secure the mission and values of the college. His dedication to the students of General College and their education was always his focus.

If you are interested in supporting the David V. Taylor Scholarship Fund please contact Sara Beyer, CEHD Development Office, 612-625-1310 or sbeyer@umn.edu.
