Driven to Discover
at the College of Education and Human Development

The major quality that unites everyone at a research university is the desire—the drive—to discover.

  • Students are learning new subjects, new ways of thinking, new ways of finding needed information to succeed as scholars.
  • Faculty are researching new ideas and concepts, looking for answers to the dilemmas that face our world.
  • With our partners in the community, we are striving to discover the best ways of learning from one another and working together to discover the best ways to improve the lives and education of all.

To highlight this quality that we hold in common, the University is using an advertising campaign and interactive Web site built around the idea of “Driven to Discover.” Members of the community were invited to pose questions to our best thinkers for answers and many of those questions have been directed to the College of Education and Human Development. Read on for our answers to the following questions:
