Workshop Objectives:

After completing this workshop, you should be able to

  • Define evidence-based practice (EBP) and what is required to meet the criteria for EBP studies.
  • Recognize if studies present information that can be trusted and whether it will be realistic in other settings.
  • List the benefits of the best interventions.
  • Describe the quality and quantity of EBP studies in child welfare currently.
  • Name barriers to EBP in child welfare and name suggestions to address such barriers.
