2017 School of Social Work Recognition Ceremony for Ph.D. and M.S.W. Students
The 2017 School of Social Work Recognition Ceremony for Ph.D. and M.S.W. Students will be held on May 7. M.S.W. and Ph.D. degree candidates who plan to graduate in May, or during the summer, are honored at this recognition ceremony. While this is not an official University commencement event, there is a presentation of Social Work degree candidates.Justice Anne K. McKeig of the Minnesota Supreme Court will be our speaker this year. A light reception for degree candidates and their guests is held immediately afterward in the lobby of the Ted Mann Concert Hall. There is no limit to the number of guests students may invite. The ceremony and reception are scheduled from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Requirements for participation in SSW Recognition Ceremony
- Student must be in good standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher, with no more than 6 semester credits of incomplete grades).
- Have an approved Graduate Degree Plan.
- Have completed all program requirements. (Any exceptions are outlined in your program handbook.)
