M.S.W. Program Redesigned
The M.S.W. program prepares professionals to enter and lead in advanced social work practice using best available evidence. The curriculum emphasizes social justice, the value of human diversity and empowerment of oppressed people, and focuses on clients’ strengths and problem-solving capacities that foster change at multiple levels.
In collaboration with social work practitioners in community-based agencies and current M.S.W. students, faculty and staff, members of the School of Social Work have designed a new M.S.W. curriculum.
The new curriculum responds to emerging issues in the community and developments within the profession, while building on the expertise of the faculty and the strengths of the University. Students will begin the new curriculum in fall 2012.
