Graduate Student Financial Aid
The School of Social Work administers some fellowships, stipends, and other grant-in-aid funds for graduate student support. These awards are distinct from awards offered through the University of Minnesota.
The major sources of financial aid from the School of Social Work are:
- Child Welfare IV-E Stipend—$10,000 per academic year
- Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education—$5,000 per academic year
- SSW grants/scholarships—ranging from $2,000-$5,000 per
academic year (see
2010 list)
Some awards require that recipients have special career interests, complete designated course work, and commit to working in specific areas upon completion of their degrees. In addition, some awards to M.S.W. students require that students accept specific field placements.
