Health Literacy for Immigrant & Refugee Families: Implications for Mental Health Professionals

Description
This module features the voices of local mental health and health professionals on health literacy and what it means for refugee and immigrant families. In particular, there is a focus is on how best to meet the health and mental health needs of children, while acknowledging cultural and systemic differences in how health and mental health is understood, responded to, and communicated. 

The impact on health and mental health outcomes and implications for service provision are explored, and potential intervention strategies for increasing health literacy are discussed.

Taking the Quiz and Earning Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)
