David Hollister
Prof. Hollister

Hollister Scholarship Fund: Prof. C. David Hollister and his wife, Georgiana, endowed a scholarship fund that "honors the commitment to excellence in social work research and education" at the School of Social Work. The income from the endowment is matched by the University and supports a student in our doctoral program. Thanks Dave and Georgiana!

Burt and Nan Galaway Social Work Research Assistant Fund was established by former faculty member Burt Galaway and his wife Nan in 1988 to attract and support high-ability students with liberal arts majors, early in their careers. It's emphasis is upon a research experience that is supervised by a senior (full professor) member of the SSW full-time faculty. Recipients are students graduated from an American University with a GPA of at least 3.2. The preference is to fund those coming directly from the baccalaureate to the MSW Program but all are eligible within five years of their undergraduate degree.
