Human resource development

Certificate program

Program

The certificate program in human resource development (HRD) focuses on developing human expertise through organization development and human resource training and development. Students and working professionals in related fields, such as adult education, adult career counseling, or business, find the certificate program a useful addition to their education and careers.

Offered by the Department of Work and Human Resource Education (WHRE), the certificate program is designed to allow enrolled University of Minnesota students and non-degree seeking students to add HRD skills to their credentials.

The college’s HRD program began in 1980, one of the first of its kind in the nation. It is ranked first in the nation in a recent University of Illinois study.
