Praxis tests
About the Praxis tests
The Minnesota Board of Teaching requires licensure applicants to pass several standardized Praxis Series tests administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS). These tests are offered several times a year; students are responsible for registering for and taking Praxis Series tests by the required deadlines. Test information is available from The Praxis Series Information and Registration Bulletin, available at Student Services (612-625-6501) or the ETS Web site.
Test locations: Refer to the “Test Center Lists” section of the Praxis bulletin or on the Web.
Testing dates: Refer to the ETS Web site's Praxis Test Dates.
Test accommodations: Nonnative English speakers and individuals with documented disabilities may be eligible for special test-taking accommodations. For more information on ETS disability services, contact 609-771-7780, TTY: 609-771-7714, or review Resources for Test Takers with Disabilities.
The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has a test center in 9 Eddy Hall where students may make an appointment to take the computer-based test. Students may schedule a test online or by calling 1-800-967-1100 (option 1) or 612-624-5520.
