Supports CEHD programs for culturally diverse students:
About me
I have been connected with University off and on for about 10
years as a student and an employee. I did my undergraduate work in
the College of Liberal Arts, earning a bachelor of arts in
psychology. I have six years of advising in General College and in
the College of Education and Human Development. I currently work
with the college coordinating multicultural undergraduate programs
and student leadership development opportunities for our
undergraduate population. My responsibilities include coordinating
programs that support undergraduate transfer students of diverse
backgrounds through connecting them with campus resources and
helping them to better navigate the University. I also work as the
professional adviser and liaison for the undergraduate student
groups and clubs, helping them to get connected to the resources
that they need to function effectively.
I am a master’s candidate in a licensed marriage and family
therapist program and hope to be experiencing a doctoral program in
a couple of years. I enjoy music, exercise, and trying to keep up
with my teenaged daughter and all of her activities. I love the
cliché of the youth being the future and I want to do whatever I can
to contribute to a bright and prosperous future. I believe in doing
this through education.
