Prerequisites for elementary education foundations
Requirements for admission consideration to the major
- 2.5 minimum GPA (2.8 strongly preferred)
- 35 hours of K-6 classroom experience completed
- The following courses completed or in progress
Basic requirements (3 courses)
- Introduction to Psychology
- Introductory to Elementary School
- Literature - must satisfy Liberal Education core requirement
Content Area 2: Mathematics (1 course)
- College algebra
Content Area 3: Science (2 courses)
- Biology w/lab
- Earth science w/lab (physical geology or astronomy)
Content Area 4: Social studies (2 courses)
- PSTL 1204: Ways of Knowing in Social Sciences
- History - must satisfy Liberal Education core requirement
