An instructor's perspective

Bhaskar Upadhyay explains his philosophy for student field experiences (also know as clinical experiences).

I'm Bhaskar Upadhyay and I'm assistant professor of science education at the University of Minnesota.

So one of the things that we have in science education, is that we have extensive amount of field experience where students interact with students from different linguist, cultural, ethnic backgrounds and they get a lot of experience through that. The other part of that is I try to include projects that are developed by the students and in which community and the students are part of it and they can use those projects in real life situations.
