TRiO Upward Bound Summer ’12 Employment

Want an amazing job working with youth? TRiO Upward Bound (UB) at the University of Minnesota, since 1966 currently in the College of Education and Human Development (U of MN—CEHD), is now accepting applications for various positions: academic classroom, residential advising, and administrative. The University of Minnesota’s TRiO UB program, a federally funded college prep program for high school aged participants, is seeking dedicated, inspiring, and diverse staff for our Summer Program. TRiO UB, enhances academic skills with intensive academic coursework along with experience college life that expands their awareness of social and global perspectives through cultural and recreation enrichment activities. If you’re interested in working in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to impact some amazing Minneapolis youth – this is the job for you.

Academic positions range from lead instructor to classroom assistant. Academic courses offered may include: Math, English, Literature, Composition & Writing, Reading and Comprehension Development, Government/Civic Participation, Forensic Science, Conflict Mediation, ACT Test Preparation, College Planning, Foreign Language, and Computer Literacy.

Residential positions entail the development and implementation of experiential activities for the residential program participants and room and board. The University of Minnesota’s TRiO Upward Bound program is seeking dedicated, inspiring, and diverse staff for our Residential Summer Program. It’s essential that the candidate be enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable.

Few administrative assistant positions are also available.
