About me

I have been working in student services at the University of Minnesota for over 20 years and am fortunate to be part of the CEHD advising team. I enjoy every opportunity to get to know my advisees and strive to make connections between student interests, goals, and experiences outside the classroom. As an advisor, my goal is to encourage and support students to use their strengths and self-knowledge to address challenges and reach their full potential.

My educational background includes a B.A in Anthropology and French and M.A. in Educational Psychology (Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology) from the University of Minnesota. I studied abroad in France and Senegal and encourage all students to seek experiential learning opportunities (in the US or abroad) to enhance their education.

In my free time I enjoy seeing new places, learning new things and spending time with friends and family including my three children.

We are committed to providing a comfortable, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our communities. If there is information you feel would be helpful for us to know, including disability or other accommodation needs, I invite you to share it with me directly or let the front desk know when you schedule an appointment.
