About me

Greetings! I am an academic adviser in CEHD, and I have worked in student services for over fifteen years. My personal philosophy is to never stop learning and creating new experiences. I seek to gain understanding and advocate for equity from everything including the classroom experiences to university policy. I have had the opportunity to live my philosophy while working in a variety of different academic settings with students from Minnesota and around the world.

As an adviser, I have also found that I enjoy really getting to know my students. It is always exciting to connect on common experiences and dialogue about difference. I am always learning and growing right along with my students. I take the time to get to know my students and work with them from where they are in their college career. I see myself as a sounding board where I ask questions to clarify and explore goals, discuss options, and help with action plans, while being mindful of the entire college experience each student has while attending the University of Minnesota.

I look forward to assisting you throughout your academic career. Please call CEHD Student Services at 612-625-3339 to schedule an individual appointment with me.

We are committed to providing a comfortable, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our communities. If there is information you feel would be helpful for us to know, including disability or other accommodation needs, I invite you to share it with me directly or let the front desk know when you schedule an appointment.
