Experience the remarkable growth of youth children through hands-on experience within the Institute of Child Development, recognized as a premier center for child study and research.

What You'll Study

“I knew this was the program I wanted because of all of the hands-on experience. I feel totally prepared to do the licensure program because of my undergraduate practicum experiences and student teaching at the Lab School.” Megan Bluml ‘14.

Your Career

The undergraduate program prepares you to enter a master’s level licensure program. Options are listed below. You can also prepare to be recommended for both the Early Childhood and the Elementary Education licenses after completing the M.Ed. program in Early Childhood Education. This is a popular option, and your adviser will help you plan your coursework.

Or you can pursue work that does not require a license, such as working in preschools, social service agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
