New Department of
Organizational Leadership,
Policy and Development
Effective July 1, 2009, a new
department has been created that
integrates the business and
marketing education, human
resource development and adult
education, and comprehensive
WHRE programs from the
Department of
Work and Human Resource
Education (WHRE) into the
department formerly known as
Educational Policy and
Administration (EdPA). The
name of this new department is
Organizational Leadership,
Policy and Development (OLPD).
It will offer exciting
opportunities for collaboration
and interdisciplinary education

Certificate Programs in WHRE
- Certificates offers a shorter course of study than a degree.
- Certificates can serve as stepping stones to a degree, and
as credentials to advance your education and career.
- Certificates provide additional recognition of professional
expertise, particularly when combined with a degree.
- Certificates are a reflection of a commitment to lifelong
learning.
When successfully completed, certificates are listed on a student's
transcript. With program faculty approval, credits completed in
a certificate program may be transferred into a degree program.
Degree and non-degree-seeking students are eligible to apply
for certificates. Many students who pursue a baccalaureate, master's
or doctoral degree add to their credential by getting a certificate.
