This website was designed as a resource for teachers serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a variety of educational settings. The goal is to equip teachers with the most appropriate tools and resources to maximize deaf and hard of hearing students’ academic growth.

Resources Included

The webinar focuses on progress monitoring practices using Curriculum Based Measurement (CBM) (Deno, 1985) as an integral part of instruction with deaf and hard of hearing students. The webinar includes the use of CBM and the use of data as part of teaching and learning. The webinar is available as a professional development opportunity for CEU credits. There are no fees for access to Avenue:PM software and apps.

The resources in language, reading, assessment, transition and technology have been selected to address instructional practices at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels and can be applied across settings and modalities. The language and reading sections include instructional strategies, activities and sample lesson plans that support best and promising practices.
