A coordinated set of courses designed for students who wish to enter careers in research, consulting, administration, teaching, law, public health, public policy, or many other fields and who desire an international education foundation to supplement their graduate majors or professional fields of study.
Coursework includes a minimum of 9 credits for master's students and 12 credits for doctoral students, typically completed in 4 years for full time students. Credits from required courses in a major program will not count towards the minor.
Required courses should be chosen as specified in each section below, additional credits can be chosen from any course in the lists below. There are no language requirements.
One course required for M.A or M.Ed.; two courses required for Ph.D.; 8xxx courses intended for Ph.D. students.

Complete the application form [pdf] and send it to the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for this minor. The DGS and members of the International Education Graduate Faculty review the applicants and determine admission. Students who are admitted into the minor program must identify a member of the International Education Graduate Faculty who has agreed to serve on the student's master's or doctoral committee.
