She has been teaching adults for 13 years, merging theory and practice to foster a robust learning experience and environment for students. In her 16 years of leadership experience, she is most proud of winning the Provider of the Year Award for Ramsey County.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?
I love to take 30-minute walks with my husband! Sometimes, that may be all the time we have in that moment and spending it with him is amazing! He's amazing!
What professor(s) or course(s) were most influential during your time in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD)?
Dr. Shari Peterson's class, Strategic Planning, was probably one of the toughest classes I had as a grad student. Yet, I learned the most. Not just about strategic planning, but about the importance of continuing to challenge and explore scholars and identify ways in which I can contribute my ideas to the field. She also challenged the expansion of my thinking. She would grade my papers and ask, "how so", wanting me to continually substantiate my claims. I use that to this day with my students and my children!
