CEHD Distinguished International Alumni Award

The CEHD Alumni Society Board is currently accepting nominations for the 2024 Distinguished International Alumni Award. The CEHD Distinguished International Alumni Award recognizes outstanding achievements of international CEHD alumni to educational progress in their country.

CEHD is committed to deepening global relationships through research partnerships, study abroad, international degree-seeking students, and scholar exchanges. The Distinguished International Alumni Award reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful engagement around the world, and honors the outstanding CEHD alumni who are using their education to make a difference in their home (or another) country.

If you would like to nominate a CEHD graduate, please complete this form. Self nominations will not be accepted, and current CEHD staff & faculty are ineligible for nomination. Nominations are due on Friday, February 16, 2024. Recipients will be honored at the CEHD Exceptional Alumni Awards Celebration on April 30, 2024.

Takehito Kamata
PhD ’18, Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development

Takehito Kamata conducts research on international collaborative research and involves in a wide range of international collaborative initiatives and projects such as the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU), the MIRAI 2.0 (Swedish and Japanese universities), and other international initiatives to promote internationalization in higher education across nations. He is also the Founding International Collaboration URA (University Research Administrator) affiliated with the Center for Research Promotion & Support at Sophia University. He earned his PhD in higher education from the University of Minnesota. He also earned his B.S. in political science and international relations and M.P.A. in public administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
